Rare original 1980 KISS Lady Jayne hair comb display tray, produced for the Australian market and officially licensed by Aucoin.
The original display contains approximately 36 KISS combs in multiple colour variations, including white, black, red and burgundy/purple.
The combs remain together in their original Lady Jayne retail display tray with the original KISS / Lady Jayne / Aucoin 1980 branding.
Condition
The display remains unopened in its original factory packaging.
As expected with most surviving Kiss Combs packaging, the clear plastic has become extremely brittle and shows significant age-related deterioration, including cracking, splitting, tears and areas of loss around the sides, edges and rear.
One side of the bottom section of the display tray is broken internally. The broken section remains inside the original packaging and has not been removed or repaired. This can be seen in the photographs.
No attempt has been made to tape, repair, flatten or otherwise alter the surviving original packaging.
The combs themselves present very well within the display and remain solid in good condition.
Detailed photographs of the packaging and damaged areas have deliberately been included so buyers can assess the condition accurately. This is being sold as a rare vintage collector's item in its current condition and should not be considered mint packaging.
