A Greco Ritchie Blackmore would be proud of!
Dating to November 1981, this example was made by Fujigen and served almost as a spin off from the SE450, but with a unique 'Ritchie Blackmore' flair. It was a special non-catalog run to honour Blackmore, and produced in the last 6 months of production before Fujigen began applying their Fender type build skills to the JV Fenders. Extremely rare to see this model anywhere in the world.
Composed of a sen body with maple neck and rosewood fretboard, this example features CBS era hallmarks such as a big headstock, bullet truss rod, as well as a three bolt neck join. Finished in white with black accents, this example evokes one of the Stratocasters Blackmore famously favoured, even going as far as including a dummy middle pickup. No scalloping on this example, making it a much more approachable instrument. Part of the revered Super Series - it’s a super cool player from Japan!
Cosmetic condition is extremely good for its age, showing only light signs of wear in the form of minor scratches and scuffs. Hardware is fully functional, and plays with a low-medium action. Includes a brown leather gig bag, and the heavy bent Blackmore style trem arm.
