THE CORONATION OF QUEEN ELIZABETH II 1953 His Master's Voice 3 LP VINYL SET VGC
This sale is for a complete set of 3 His Master’s Voice (HMV) vinyl records of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II at West Minster Abbey on 2nd June 1953. Recorded by direct line from the BBC transmission.
The set includes ALP 1056, ALP 1057 and ALP1058. The 2-sided records are Long Play 33 1/3 RPM and made and printed in Great Britain.
These records are rare to find, especially in the complete set and with all the original covers, sleeves and brochures and in working order.
Each record includes the vinyl record, the plastic sleeve for the record, the cardboard cover, the descriptive brochure and an outer plastic sleeve. All components are genuine and original.
The records were last played in their entirety in September 2022 and played very well for their age. I can’t guarantee there is no skipping, but they did not skip when I played them. Might depend on the quality of your record player and needle.
Condition
• All three records are in very good condition with a couple of minor scuffs on each side of each record. The records state they are “non-breakable”.
• All plastic record sleeves are in very good condition for their age
• All three cardboard covers are in good to very good condition for their age and no fading that I can tell. Some creases on corners, scuffs on edges and some scattered marks/spots. The spine hinge is gauze/cloth.
• All three descriptive brochures are intact and complete. Some creases. One of the 3 brochures has some pink pen writing and a small tear.
Pick up ONLY from Southbank, Victoria.
